ASCAP’s Nashville creative team, led by Vice President Mike Sistad, has revealed the songwriter participants for its ninth annual ASCAP GPS (Guidance from Publishers for Songwriters) Project, which showcases songwriters who are ready, or nearly ready, for a publishing deal.
The ASCAP GPS Project class of 2020, curated by ASCAP Creative Director Evyn Mustoe Johnston, includes songwriters Ethan Baumgarner, Bailey Callahan, Stephen Carey, Morgan Johnston, Jordan Keim, Kate Malone, Nell Maynard, and Kaylee Rose.
"Look Like You" is a heartfelt song Kaylee wrote for her mom. She said "My mom has been through so much and has handled every obstacle in her life with strength & grace. Everybody has that one person they look up to and aspire to be like and for me, that one person is my mom.”
Prior to the show, she joined the Ty Bentli Show for a 10 Minute Tune about the NFL Draft taking place in Nashville this year.
Singer-songwriter Kaylee Rose has released a dynamic new song, titled “Stuff” to radio and digital retailers. The powerful new track talks about the emotional attachment one feels to the things that are left behind following a loss or breakup; conveyed in the lyrics of the song “Not ready to say goodbye. When it’s love, it’s not just stuff.”
Kaylee Rose has released her new EP Upside To Down to all digital outlets today. The EP showcases three tracks that feature Kaylee’s distinctive pop country style.
